Consumer Direct Marketing Specialist – Activity Apps Operations (ETW) m/f/d

Our partners Nike Deutschland GmbH are looking for a Consumer Direct Marketing Specialist – Activity Apps Operations (ETW), based in Berlin, ideally starting between 01.10.2022 – 31.10.2022. This role is a temporary role for 12 months.

Based in Berlin you will be part of the Berlin key city marketing team. This team will be accountable for:

  • Humanising our brand through relationships on the ground with key communities, athletes, and athletes* that move our world forward through movement
  • Engaging members 365 with focus on activity (movement), connections (relationships), and purpose – optimising key membership KPIs and bringing the magic of Nike to life on the ground for the members who love us the most
  • Owning targeted brand extensions that amplify our brand narrative

What will you work on?

As Berlin CDM Specialist - Activity Apps Operations (ETW) you will be a part of the Berlin Consumer Direct Marketing function, reporting to the Berlin Consumer Direct Marketing Manager – Activity Apps & Operations. In this role, you will learn the fundamentals of the marketing engine of Nike owned digital ecosystem what will set you up for the future of digital marketing. Your core duties will include the execution and operationalization of digital features/services in the Nike Activity Apps NRC (Nike Running Club) and NTC (Nike Training Club) to engage with Nike members, with focus on the following:

- Operationalization and Execution of
  • NTC App features like NTC Livestream and NTC Video Workout
  • NRC App features like Audio Guided Run, Run Challenge, etc.
  • Nike Experience platform, which lives within nike.com and the Nike App. A platform that is listing several physical sport related training sessions and workouts.
- Operationalization and Execution means
  • Support and inform internal stakeholders who are building marketing plans including the Activity Apps about the technical capabilities and timelines of bringing to life a new feature or digital service.
  • Organizing the publication calendar of Nike App, Activity App and Nike Experience initiatives and providing overviews to the marketing team.
  • Staying in close partnership with the Activity App team in Nike’s European headquarter to be informed about future changes in the apps.
  • Taking care of the software-back-end tools of the Nike app ecosystem to push  content and features live into the apps.
  • Manage and brief production agency, coaches and sport communities for the NTC livestream.
  • Manage and brief the processes of recording audio guided runs with external agencies, coaches and sport communities.
  • Educate and support internal stakeholders about how to set up a Nike Experience in Nike’s digital ecosystem.
  • Identify key workflows and optimize processes between different stakeholders through the creation of playbooks, intake forms, etc. and by learning from the teams in the European headquarter as well as from other key cities.
  • Keeping track of the performance of the Activity App features that got executed.

Who will you work with?

In this role you will work fluidly across the full city marketing team, aligning priorities, roles & responsibilities for all processes with your core team CDM Activity Apps and Operations. Next to that you will work closely with the Berlin marketing teams Performance & Lifestyle Brand, Purpose marketing manager, consumer insight function and Brand Creative Studio team to optimize the workings of our membership marketing engine in the city. Finally, you will work with the EMEA Consumer Direct Marketing Operations team and EMEA Activity App team to share standard methodologies and keep abreast of any EMEA strategy or technical developments to help us better engage with members in the city. The shape of your day-to-day work will vary.

What you bring to Nike?

A successful candidate will be expected to clearly demonstrate and articulate experience of the below essential requirements in order to be considered. Candidates that meet these criteria will then be assessed based on the competencies also outlined below.

Essential requirements:

- First working experiences in marketing. Marketing experiences at Nike is a plus.

  • Experience in digital marketing, app marketing, membership marketing including the operational process and execution to engage with the target audience on platforms owned by a brand.
  • A proven track record of having a high level of organizational skillsets in being able to navigate many tasks with several stakeholders the same time.
  • Experience in leading partner and agency collaboration.
  • Experience in digital software solutions that optimize end to end processes.
  • A desire & willingness to adapt in an agile fashion to our consumers’ and organisation’s needs to deepen our relationships with members.
  • Preferably prior marketing experience in Berlin/Germany and a demonstrable understanding of the consumer, the city and Nike’s position within.
  • Fluency in English. German is a plus.
