Our partners Nike Retail B.V. in Berlin are looking for a Brand Creative City Narrative Specialist based in Berlin. This role is a temporary, limited for 12 months.

As our Brand Creative Narrative Specialist in Berlin, you will work in close partnership with the Senior Narrative Manager and Writer, creating the voice that expresses the heart and soul of the Nike brand, leveraging athletes*, products and services to inspire our consumer. You will support & champion creative concepts and storytelling across the city aligned to the strategic direction provided by City Consumer Offense.

You have some experience working in a team of multiple creative disciplines & foundational knowledge of the creative process, from creative concepting to development and execution.

You are restless and curious with a Challenger Mindset. A person who is driven to look beyond the obvious, led by their natural interest in how the best stories in the world are told, what makes them great and how we can apply that craft to our tasks at Nike Berlin. You are naturally close to Berlin’s young creative scene, continuously fueling the work with relevant insights.

The Brand Creative Narrative Specialist in Berlin also needs to be diligent and organized with a sharp attention to detail, ensuring that all creative work is embedded into the operational & production process.



As the Brand Creative Narrative Specialist, you are part of the team who is concerned with what the brand is saying to the audience and how that message is delivered.

It all starts with listening to the audience and understanding it.  This involves getting close to communities through our existing Nike contacts, research, and also building your own methods to understand the pulse of the city.

Once you have a good understanding of the audience and what our corporate strategy is, you will be part of the team that drives a creative strategy that builds a relationship with the city using the full Nike ecosystem, always thinking about the next click.

Upon that strategy you will be working with the team to develop brand narratives, editorial story lines and world-class creative execution of the city strategy.

Juggling multiple projects at the same time, you’ll be required to maintain good communication and planning with clear focus on setting the team up for success.  This is where your organizational skills will be the focus.  When the team is running at high speed, you will be the person that keeps everything on track.



You will report directly to the Senior Narrative Manager and be the anchor that keeps the narrative ship stable.  You will be working day to day with the full Berlin Creative Studio which is a team of Writers, Strategists, Art Directors, Designers and Producers.

You will collaborate with your counterparts across the EMEA Studios as well as the Global team to ensure consistency across our work and help establish and develop our creative network, as well as aligning on the right stories at the right time against the right channels.

With the broader marketing organization, you will work closely with the city marketing teams to execute against the annual concept map, developing and delivering creative that answers the brief.

You will also regularly work with creative partners in the city, ensuring that Nike Berlin is a great creative citizen of the city.



  • Proven communication skills through your University / College / Internships or hobbies.
  • Ability to see stories and angles where others don’t.
  • Ability to work well in a team that is spread across several cities.
  • Proven experience supporting photography and video/film productions
  • Good critical appreciation of communication channels (traditional, social, digital, meta)
  • Proven origination of innovative storytelling across multiple categories.
  • Relish the idea of working with agencies, expternal partners and internal stakeholders to deliver the highest caliber work.
  • Great human and organisational skills.  This includes a strong ability to listen and empower the team.
  • Good understanding of interactive communication, processes and user interface design for online products.
  • Good understanding of consumer behavior.
  • Ability to travel 10%
